Who processes your data

The data controller is Paweł Biskup. For anything about your data, including exercising your rights, email [email protected].

What we collect and why

  • Your email address. We use it to email you when the beta starts. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 398 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law), which you give by signing up. Giving your email is voluntary, but we can’t add you to the beta without it.
  • Your match link, if you add one. We use it only to prepare your first diagnosis. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Sign-up details. The date of your sign-up, the version and language of the consent text and which form you used. This lets us show when and to what you consented, and email you in your language.
  • A hash of your IP address. To limit sign-ups from a single connection, we keep a hash of your IP address, created with a random key, for one hour. Cloudflare, which runs the site, also processes connection data (including your IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and the form free from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long we keep it

  • Email and match link: until the beta starts and your first diagnosis is ready, and no longer than 12 months from your sign-up. If you withdraw your consent earlier, we delete them right away.
  • IP address hash: about one hour.
  • Connection data: as long as Cloudflare keeps it for security purposes.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell data. Only companies that store or transmit it on our behalf have access to it:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which hosts the site and the beta sign-up database. We store sign-ups in a database restricted to the European Union. Cloudflare may process some connection data outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA. Such transfers rely on Cloudflare’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
  • The email provider for [email protected], when you write to us.

Before we send the first email to people on the list, we’ll add the tool we use to send it here.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, delete it, restrict its processing or receive it in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect what we did lawfully before you withdrew it. Just email [email protected].

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work. In Poland, that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.

Age

You must be at least 16 years old to sign up for the beta.

Cookies and automated decisions

The site opens in English or Polish depending on your browser’s language. When you switch the language in the header, we remember your choice in one cookie, lang, and the same value in your browser’s local storage, for 12 months. It only holds “en” or “pl” and is needed to show the language you chose. We don’t use any other cookies or analytics tools.

We don’t make automated decisions about you based on your sign-up data and we don’t build a profile of you.

Changes

When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we’ll email the people signed up for the beta.
